Kellah Farm Newsletter

January 2019

Happy New Year to all our customers...past, present and future! We hope everyone has had a good start to the year.

Today, as I write this, the wind is howling and the rain is pouring! We would rather that, than another 'Beast from the East' like the start of 2018! Although there is time yet for that to happen.

We've had a fairly dry winter, not too bad, although its making up for it now, the 'clarts' will soon return. The cows are all indoors, the sheep aren't so lucky, but their fleeces will be keeping them dry. Lambing will soon be upon us in a couple of months time, then the lucky ones can come indoors for some respite from the weather.

We should be grateful for this weather...my cousin in Saskatchewan, Canada informs me that its currently -40C (with a feel of -51C) over there on their farm. We can probably cope with our +7C!

Everyone is well here at Kellah Farm, we are currently expecting another 'armstrong' family member, and are converting one of the barns on the farm to house the new arrival! Building work is going well, we don't expect to be in any time soon, hopefully by the summer!

We look forward to seeing you all again this year, and hope this finds you all well.

Stay tuned for lambing and calving updates when the dust settles.............
